Non-Surgical Treatments & Aesthetic Technology
Injectables, dermal fillers, lasers, radiofrequency, and skin rejuvenation at Cosmetic Doc are chosen with a surgeon's understanding of facial structure, guided by Dr. Husam Elias, so you get honest advice about what non-surgical care can achieve and when surgery is the better path.
Non-Surgical Aesthetic Treatments at Cosmetic Doc
Non-surgical aesthetic treatments are procedures that improve the look of the face and skin without incisions, using injections, energy-based devices, or controlled skin stimulation. They can soften expression lines, restore modest volume, improve skin texture and tone, and encourage the skin to produce new collagen, usually with little or no downtime.
What makes our approach different is the perspective behind the recommendation. Dr. Husam Elias is a triple board-certified cosmetic surgeon who understands the face from the bone outward. That means you receive advice from a practice that performs both surgical and non-surgical care, with no reason to steer you toward one or the other. If an injectable will give you the refresh you want, we will tell you. If it will not, we will explain why.
Treatments We Offer
Treatments we offer include neuromodulator injections, hyaluronic acid and other dermal fillers, biostimulators, laser treatments, radiofrequency treatments, microneedling, and a range of skin rejuvenation options. Specific devices and products are selected for each patient at consultation based on skin type, goals, and safety. The overview below explains what each category does, so you can arrive at your visit with a clearer sense of what may suit you.
Treatment categories
Non-Surgical Options at a Glance
Each category works differently. Many patients see the best results from a thoughtful combination planned over time rather than a single treatment.
-
Injectables
Neuromodulators are purified proteins injected in small amounts to relax the muscles that crease the forehead, frown lines, and crow's feet. Results typically last about three to four months.
-
Dermal Fillers
Gel fillers, most often hyaluronic acid, restore lost volume and contour in the cheeks, lips, under-eye hollows, and jawline. Many hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if needed.
-
Biostimulators
Injectable materials that gradually prompt your skin to produce its own collagen, improving firmness and volume over several months rather than all at once, with results that build slowly.
-
Laser Treatments
Light-based treatments that target sun damage, uneven pigment, redness, fine lines, and rough texture, ranging from gentle sessions with minimal downtime to deeper resurfacing.
-
Radiofrequency Treatments
Radiofrequency devices deliver controlled heat beneath the skin surface to stimulate collagen and mildly tighten lax skin on the face, neck, and body, typically over a series of visits.
-
Skin Rejuvenation
Treatments such as chemical peels and medical-grade skin care improve tone, clarity, and texture, helping maintain healthy skin on its own or alongside surgical results.
-
Microneedling
Fine needles create controlled micro-injuries that prompt the skin to repair itself, which may improve acne scars, enlarged pores, and fine lines, sometimes combined with radiofrequency energy.
-
Regenerative Aesthetics
Treatments using your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) or fat-derived tissue to support skin quality. Early results are encouraging, but research is still evolving and outcomes vary.
How Non-Surgical Treatments Complement Surgery
Surgery and non-surgical care work best as partners. A facelift repositions sagging tissue, but it does not change skin texture or the lines created by muscle movement. Laser treatments, microneedling, and skin care can refine the surface after surgery, while neuromodulators soften expression lines that a lift does not address. Before surgery, fillers can also help patients preview a change, such as added cheek or chin volume, before committing to something more lasting. For natural, long-lasting volume from your own tissue, many patients consider facial fat grafting instead of repeated filler.
When Non-Surgical Treatment Is Not Enough
Non-surgical treatments have real limits, and being honest about them is part of good care. Injectables cannot lift significant jowls or remove loose neck skin, and adding more and more filler to a sagging face can create a heavy, unnatural look. Energy-based devices tighten skin modestly, which may suit early laxity but will not match the lift of surgery. Likewise, filler can temporarily add chin projection, while a lasting change to your profile may call for chin and jaw surgery. If your goals go beyond what non-surgical care can deliver, Dr. Elias will explain your options for facial cosmetic surgery so you can make an informed choice.
Why Cosmetic Doc
Non-Surgical Care With a Surgeon's Perspective
The best non-surgical results come from understanding what lies beneath the skin. Here is what guides every treatment plan.
-
Honest Recommendations
Because we offer both surgical and non-surgical care, advice is based on what will actually meet your goals, not on selling a particular treatment.
-
Structural Understanding
Dr. Elias's training in the facial skeleton informs where volume belongs and where it does not, helping results look balanced rather than overfilled.
-
Natural, Subtle Results
Treatments are planned to refresh your appearance while preserving natural expression, so people notice that you look well rather than that you had something done.
-
Plans That Evolve
Skin and facial volume change with time. Your plan adjusts as your needs change, combining treatments gradually rather than doing everything at once.
-
Support Surgical Results
Non-surgical care before and after facial surgery can refine skin quality and expression lines, helping surgical results look their best over the long term.
-
Conservative on New Science
Regenerative treatments are discussed with a clear account of current evidence, so you understand what is established and what is still being studied.
Safety, Downtime, and Cost
Non-surgical treatments are generally well tolerated, but they are still medical procedures. Temporary redness, swelling, or bruising is common, and some laser and resurfacing treatments require several days of healing. Your medical history, skin type, and medications are reviewed before any treatment. Because most non-surgical care is cosmetic, it is typically not covered by insurance. Cost depends on the treatment category, the amount of product used, the number of sessions, and whether treatments are combined, and you will receive a personalized quote before treatment. We accept cash, checks, major credit and debit cards, and financing plans.

Questions patients ask
Non-Surgical Treatment FAQs
Can fillers replace a facelift?
Fillers can restore modest volume and soften some early signs of aging, but they cannot lift sagging jowls or remove loose skin. Using large amounts of filler to imitate a lift can look heavy and unnatural. When laxity is significant, a facelift or neck lift typically delivers a more natural, longer-lasting result.
How long do neuromodulator injections last?
Results from neuromodulators typically last about three to four months, although this varies with the treatment area, the dose, and how active your facial muscles are. Effects usually begin within several days and reach their full effect in about two weeks. Regular maintenance treatments help keep lines softened over time.
Can dermal filler be reversed?
Many hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if the result is uneven, overcorrected, or if a complication occurs. Biostimulators and some other fillers cannot be dissolved in the same way, which is one reason product selection is discussed carefully at your consultation.
Is PRP or regenerative treatment proven to work?
Platelet-rich plasma and fat-derived treatments show encouraging early results for skin quality, but the research is still evolving, and results vary from person to person. We explain what current evidence supports, set realistic expectations, and recommend these treatments only when they are a reasonable fit for your goals.
How much downtime do non-surgical treatments need?
Many treatments, such as neuromodulators and light skin treatments, involve little or no downtime beyond minor redness or bruising. Fillers may cause swelling for a few days, while deeper laser resurfacing can require about a week or more of healing. Your consultation includes a realistic estimate for your chosen treatment.
Are non-surgical treatments covered by insurance?
Non-surgical aesthetic treatments are cosmetic and are typically not covered by insurance. Cost depends on the treatment category, the amount of product used, and the number of sessions. After your consultation, you will receive a personalized quote, and we accept cash, checks, major credit and debit cards, and financing plans.
